Alcorn Gets 28 New Recruits at Spring Signing Day 2020

One of the biggest days on the college football landscape is its annual Spring Signing Day. All throughout the Winter, Head Football Coach of Alcorn State University (ASU), Fred McNair, was busy attracting possible recruits. Following the disappointing 64-44 loss to the North Carolina A&T Aggies in the Celebration Bowl on December 21st, 2019, the Braves are looking for special players to help them get over the hump so that they may raise a bowl trophy at the end of the 2020 football season. The Braves signed 28 new recruits who may help them achieve this feat. The signees are:

  1. Gino Johnson, a 6’0″ 185 pound Defensive Back from Harrison Central High School in Gulfport, Mississippi.
  2. Rasul Muhammad, a 6’1″ 170 pound Defensive Back from Memphis Central High School in Memphis, Tennessee.
  3. Cameron Jones, a 6’1″ 250 pound Defensive Lineman from Long Star High School in Frisco, Texas.
  4. Devin Dawson, a 6’3″ 285 pound Defensive Lineman from Lonestar High School in Little Elm, Texas.
  5. Malik Gaither, a 6’2″ 205 pound Linebacker from Woodland High School in Stockbridge, Georgia.
  6. London McGowan, a 6’5″ 270 pound Offensive Lineman from Horn Lake High School in Horn Lake, Mississippi.
  7. Christopher Daigre, a 5’11” 180 pound Defensive Back from Scotlandville High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
  8. Jarquez Mango, a 6’2″ 270 pound Offensive Lineman from Seminole High School in Sanford, Florida.
  9. Ladarius Fair, 6’2″ 185 pound Wide Receiver from Lancaster High School in Desoto, Texas.
  10. Javonta Leatherwood, a 5’11″190 pound Running Back from Central High School in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
  11. Claudin Cherelus, a 6’2″ 195 pound Linebacker from Golden Gate High School in Naples, Florida.
  12. Michael Moment, a 6’3″ 315 pound Offensive Lineman from Tampa Bay Tech High School in Tampa, Florida.
  13. Kole Williams, a 6’2″ 200 pound Quarterback from Carver High School in Montgomery, Alabama.
  14. Jeremias Williams, a 6’1″ 215 pound Linebacker from Park Crossing High School in Montgomery, Alabama.
  15. Kadarius Wells, a 6’3″ 225 pound Tight End from Brookhaven High School in Brookhaven, Mississippi.
  16. Deonta Reed, a 6’2″ 330 pound Offensive Lineman from Picayune High School in Picayune, Mississippi.
  17. Tavarious Griffin, a 6’3″ 215 pound Tight End from Tallassee High School in Tallassee, Florida.
  18. Ryshawn Glinton, a 6’2″ 265 pound Defensive Lineman from Lakeland High School in Lakeland, Florida.
  19. Kobe Towns, a 6’0″ 180 pound Defensive Back from Peach County High School in Fort Valley, Georgia.
  20. Christopher Thompson, a 5’10” 170 Kicker from Jones County Junior College in Ellisville, Mississippi.
  21. Juandaris Reed, a 6’3″ 310 pound Offensive Lineman from Southwest Community College in Summit, Mississippi .
  22. Tavarian McCullum, a 6’3″ 210 pound Defensive Back from Co-Lin Community College in Wesson, Mississippi .
  23. Jamaul Lofton, a 6’5″ 314 pound Offensive Lineman from Northwest Community College in Senatobia, Mississippi.
  24. Manny Jones, a 5’7″ 170 pound Wide Receiver from Jones County Junior College in Ellisville, Mississippi .
  25. Wessly Danzy, a 6’3″ 240 pound Tight End from Mesa Community College in Mesa, Arizona.
  26. Austin Bolton, a 5’9″ 195 pound Running Back from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in Perkinston, Mississippi.
  27. Isaiah Bolden, a 6’2″ 290 pound Defensive Lineman from Mesa Community College in Mesa, Arizona.
  28. Macarius Blount, a 6’0″ 190 pound Defensive Back from Pima Community College in Tucson, Arizona.
