Hurt

We hurt those who are good for us.
We even hurt ourselves.
But how do we recover and
make the hurt become something more?
We say “I love you” and don’t even mean it.
Are we serious? It’s pretty ridiculous.
Sorry has become another word to reduce the situation.
Yet the pain one receives is still there.
We don’t feel the hurt that we pass on to others.
We only feel our pride and we don’t let that go.
Our pride gets the best of us.
Sadly enough, we’re the ones who are hurt in the end.
