On Tuesday, February 22, 2017 the Iota Beta Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi Fraternity hosted their second annual I Stroll Better Than You Stroll Off Competition in the E. E. Simmons Gymnasium at 6:19 pm on the campus of Alcorn State University (ASU).
Students from ASU and surrounding institutions were invited to attend. Participants included Kappa Kappa Psi, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority and Tau Beta Sigma Sorority members from Mississippi Valley State University, Alabama State University, Grambling State University, Texas Southern University and Alcorn State University.
Competition winners, Mississippi Valley and Grambling State, were selected by faculty members who served as judges for the event. Both teams received a trophy as a prize. Additionally, Grambling State received a cash reward for winning the overall competition.
Overall, the event was a success and students look forward to more social functions such as this. “I really enjoyed the Stroll Off. It was really engaging and I was thoroughly entertained,” said Ariel Catchings, a Freshman Biology major.

Renita Lacy is a Graduating Senior Broadcast/Mass Communications major. She will be a staff writer for The Campus Chronicle for the 2016-2017 school year.
