Music Festival Outfit Inspiration

0

When the sun comes out and the birds start singing that can only mean one thing; well maybe two.  Spring is approaching and with spring comes music festival season. Whether you’re heading to the California desert to enjoy Coachella this season or going up to Brooklyn to rock out at Afro Punk I have the hottest music festival inspired looks to make your experience one for the history books.

Boho/Hippie

Loose fitting baby doll dresses or a cute printed romper are great staple pieces for any Boho look you want to achieve. Try pairing your baby doll dress with a pair of black tights and a pair of Dr. Martens if it’s cold out, or a pair of thigh high socks and a floppy black hat. Another look to try would be pairing knits and kimonos along with strappy maxi dresses. This look is effortless and requires little to no effort yet it’s still fun and exciting.

Retro Princess Glam

For a more relaxed look you can try a concert tee, an oversized denim jacket and a cute beanie. Just throw on some chunky booties or hiking boots and a thick pair of comfortable socks. Another option would be that you could visit local thrift stores to find old t-shirts that are perfect for revamping and recreating. High waist trousers and cropped tees and tanks (and anything with fringe) are another simple outfit that can go a long way.

Sporty Chic

If you’re not the type to worry with skirts and dresses during an outdoor event, there are still plenty of ways to bring out your inner glam and still keep the spice. Joggers, a cute bralette and a pair of your favorite vans or creepers can give you an edge while keeping the practicality of a functioning wardrobe. A pair of cut offs and an oversized sports jersey are a cute look that every girl would consider. Don’t forget to keep a few basics in mind to help complete any and every look you may want to try.

Punk Rocker Babe

This style is one of my favorites (mostly because I love rock music) because you can incorporate the three previous looks all into one. How? Simple. Take your favorite maxi skirt and pair it with your coolest concert/ band tee and a cute pair of boots, throw on an oversized floppy hat and voila! You’re the perfect rocker princess. Another look to try are pairing cut off shorts and a simple tank top and a flannel which is key to making sure the outfit is convenient.

Scarves, necklaces, rings and hats are all perfect pieces to throw into different outfit choices. Mid finger rings and long multi-chain necklaces give every look an effortless feel. Try layering your jewelry to fit your personal style. Bangles and cool sunglasses are not excluded from this outfit. Thebest way to make the most of your musical adventure are to keep your outfits simple and fun.
