The week kicked off on Monday at 8:30 am in the Campus Union Ballroom with  “Mock Interviews” in addition to the “Youth Informational Task Force” which was being held in Dumas Hall from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. The mock interviews provided students with the opportunity to practice how an actual interview in the typical work place setting goes.

On Tuesday, February 7, 2017, the Spring Career Fair was held from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm in the Campus Union Ballroom. Students were invited to come out and meet with employers in a professional setting and explore potential career opportunities and internships. “This was such a great opportunity particularly for Elementary Education majors such as myself. It was very exciting to see that there are school districts in need of educators and the great benefits that most of them offer. I can’t wait to pursue some of these career options after I graduate,” said Janelle Moody, a Senior Elementary Education major from Jackson, Mississippi.

On Thursday, Sigma Chi Iota held its membership induction ceremony in the Gold Room to formally induct and welcome all new members. The week ended on Friday, February 10, 2017 with a Sigma Chi Iota Retreat .
