This Week in Entertainment News (October 31, 2016)

This week in entertainment, Drake dissing Kid Cudi backfires, Miley Cyrus forgot her lyrics at an awards show and the season premiere of The Walking Dead came in a with a bang.

As we all know, rappers tend to diss each other through tracks they make from time to time. Drake may have gone a little too far this time. He released new music on his 30th birthday and one of the songs was called ‘Two Birds, One Stone’. In the song Drake basically called Cudi out as a angry guy who takes drugs to deal with reality and called his depression a phase. Many people went to Twitter and called Drake out on his comments. Will Cudi strike back? I guess we will have to stay tuned.

Every singer has their slip ups every once in a while and this was the case for Miley Cyrus. She apparently forgot her lyrics during a tribute to Bill Murray for the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. She started off the song ‘My Way’ great but then everything else was a blur. Cyrus explained that she had smoked too much marijuana and forgotten the words to the song. Murray made the moment into a funny one and Cyrus performed the song again without any mistakes. The show will be aired for the remainder of the month on PBS.

The season seven premiere of The Walking Dead premiered this week on AMC and two of the main characters died last night (one was expected and one was not).  One of the victims was Glenn, who was bashed in the head by the new antagonist for the season, Negan and the other victim was none other than Abraham. One of the most unsettling scenes in the premiere was when Negan forced Rick to choose between his son and the lives of his friends. That was an interesting way to introduce season seven. What do you think?
