TV Review: Station 19



The men and women of Station 19 are coming to the rescue. The Grey’s Anatomy  spinoff  is from creator Stacy McKee and executive producers Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers. The main cast of characters consists of Firefighter, Andrea Herrera played by Jaina Lee Ortiz (Girl’s Trip), her father, Captain Pruitt, played by Miguel Sandoval (Dallas) and newbie Ben Warren played by Jason George (Grey’s Anatomy and Eve). The action packed series shows viewer dozens of dangerous situations that puts the members of Station 19 in harm’s way, but it’s all a part of the job as they continue to roll with the punches saving as many lives as possible.

S1 E1:  Stuck – Andrea must step up when the Station 19 crew responds to an apartment fire and Captain Pruitt’s health is pushed to its limits. The station receives its new recruits which includes Ben Warren, a former doctor, who decided he needed a change, but struggles to keep his medical background at bay on the scene.

S1 E2: Invisible to Me -With the absence of Captain Pruitt, Andrea and Jack (Grey Damon) try to navigate how to work together and keep the firehouse running as the team battles with one call after another barely getting a second to breathe.

Station 19 can be streamed on the ABC App and Hulu.
