WOMEN IN AGRICULTURE CONFERENCE 2016

Alcorn State University’s Extension Program will be hosting its’ Women in Agriculture Conference on Monday, November 14, 2016 – Tuesday, November 15, 2016 in Flowood, MS. This year’s theme is “The Phenomenal Woman”.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP-TRAINING COURSE

The Alcorn State University Extension Program along with Southern Community College Regional Workforce Center will be hosting an Entrepreneurship-Training Course entitled “How to Start and Grow your Business” on Monday, November 14, 2016 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Southwest Mississippi Community College. The purpose of the workshop is to help individuals interested in starting a business, business owners needing guidance and technical students exploring self-employment. 81ST ANNUAL MISSISSIPPI ACADEMY OF SCIENCES MEETING ABSTRACT DEADLINE: NOV. 15

The 81st Annual Mississippi Academy of Sciences Meeting will be held on February 23 – 24, 2017 at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, MS. However, the deadline for abstracts are November 15, 2016. To submit the abstract, visit http://msacad.org/submit-an-abstract/submit-on-line.

HOLIDAY AFFAIR EXPO

Alcorn State University’s Extension Program will be hosting its’ Holiday Affair Expo on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm at the Vicksburg City Auditorium in Vicksburg, MS and the Claiborne County Multipurpose Building in Port Gibson, MS.  The purpose of this event is to discuss holiday safety, décor on a budget and a holiday checklist. 2016 MISSISSIPPI FOOD SUMMIT AND AGRICULTURAL REVIVAL

ADVANTAGES AND TYPES OF TECHNOLOGY IN CITS

Alcorn State University will be hosting the Advantages and Types of Technology in CITS workshop on Advantages and Types of Technology Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 10:00 am – 10:45 am in the Walter Washington Administration and Classroom Building’s (WWACB) 3rd floor lab.
