NATIONAL LIBRARY AWARENESS DAY
National Library Awareness Day will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2015. You can sign up in the Library. For more information, please visit the J.D. Boyd Library on the campus of Alcorn State University.

THE INAUGURATION
Alcorn State University will formally welcome Dr. Alfred Rankins Jr. as the 19th President of Alcorn State University. On Thursday, April 16th, 2015 the family first luncheon will be held at Alcorn’s Graduate Business building in Natchez from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. The Scholarship Gala will be held the same day from 8:00 pm – Until at the Vicksburg Convention Center.

PRAYER SERVICE
As a part of the Inauguration of Dr. Rankins, a breakfast prayer service will be held at Oakland Memorial Chapel from 9:00 am – 10:30 am.

SPRING FOOTBALL GAME
The Annual Spring Football game will be held on Saturday, April 18th, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Spinks-Casem Stadium.

CHEERLEADING TRYOUTS
Tryouts for the 2015-2016 Cheer Team will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the Davey L. Whitney HPER Complex from 10:00 am – 4:00 am. A $20 non-refundable tryout fee is due the day of tryouts. Medical liability forms, physicals, and copies of Sickle Cell Anemia tests must be returned prior to tryouts.

ALCORN STATE UNIVERSITY
The last day to officially withdraw from the University is Monday, April 20, 2015. Registration for the fall semester also will begin on April 20, 2015.
